Bajra tikki is nutritious recipe. Bajra is an iron rich grain and highly recommended to deal with iron deficiency disorders.
This tikki is energy packed and easy to make. It is a great source of nutrition for the pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and anemic patients.
Ingredients
Bajra atta: 1 cup
Jaggery: 2 tbsp
Milk:1/2 cup
Water: 1 cup
Sesame seeds: 2 tbsp
Oil to deep fry
Recipe
1. Take water in a pan and heat the water and add the jaggery to the water and mix until a uniform syrup is formed.
2. Take the bajra atta and add the sesame seeds to the atta. Now add the jaggery syrup to it and mix well.
3. Slowly add milk to the bowl and knead this mix into a dough.
4. Take the oil into a pan. I would recommend you to use whole grain oils such as mustard oil, sesame oil or olive oil and not the usual refined oil as the refined oil has lost all its nutrition.
5. Now heat the oil and make round tikkis of the dough and fry on medium flame until they turn brown.
6. Take out the bajra tikki and munch on to the energy packed and healthy sweet dish without any guilt😉
